Custom lens hood specifications

Lens Name	Please enter the name of your lens (for example: Canon EF 28-70mm f/2.8 L). When you create your custom lens hood, it will become available to the whole world from this site, so please complete this field accurately. This field can only contain uppercase and lowercase characters, numbers, hyphens forward-slashes and spaces.
Base Diameter	mm This is the exact diameter of the base of the lens hood. This diameter is generally identical to the width of the lens where the lens hood would be mounted. If you wish to print your lens hood onto thicker card, you should add a few extra millimeters to account for this.
End Diameter	mm This is the diameter (width) of the end of the lens hood. This value must be greater than the Base Diameter.
Hood Length	mm This is the length of the side wall of the hood. This length does not include the length of any petals, which are specified separately below.
Petal Size	mm This specifies the length of the petals. Each lens hood is optimized for taking rectangular photos with an aspect ratio of 3:2, thus it consists of two long petals and two slightly shorter petals. This length corresponds to the size of the two longers petals and may be set to a value of 0 if you do not wish to have any petals.
Petal Crop Size	mm This sets the maximum size of any petal by cropping each one that extends beyond this length. This value must be less than the overall petal size. If you do not have any petals (or if you wish to keep full size petals), set this value to 0.
